Rob Cross has had a brilliant year going from no prize money up into the top 32 in the world which takes a lot of players years' to reach and now due to his first major final in Hasselt and gaining a spot in the Grand Slam among other tournaments including being number 1 seed at the Players Championship mean that by the looks of the predicted order of merit tables by Burton deWitt, Cross will break into the top 20.
This takes into account minimum prize money from these majors' as well so Cross in theory could go higher. Peter Wright will massively strengthen his grip on the number 2 spot in the coming months and Daryl Gurney, Gary Anderson and Mensur Suljovic will be battling it out for number 3 in the world.
Also if the Order of Merit is correct, Adrian Lewis is set for a massive fall from number 5 currently to 19th at the end of the year and Krzysztof Ratajski will just gain a tour card from his appearance at the Alexandra Palace as will non tour card holders Zoran Lerchbacher and Peter Jacques.
