Dartsnews.com recently had the opportunity to catch up with multiple players at the Target Launch and this is part 2 of the
interview with
Adrian Lewis, the 2 time back to back champion of the World and we discuss various topics including the future, Phil Taylor and Corey Cadby! To continue on with the interview, we asked Jackpot about whether he is planning to play all tournaments in 2018 and he gave this answer: "I certainly am, well I did try to play all the Euro Tours this year but my baby and my wife’s problems, it’s been pretty difficult I couldn’t do it. Next year I will be setting my eyes back on the European Tour again and having a good go at that yes." We then went to ask him about goals for the rest of the year now he has returned to the tour "No well like I say I am putting in the work now, in the next month or two I will start playing in my top form like I know I can do." Following this it was asked about when Phil retires will there be enough characters in darts to move forward and he spoke about the likes of himself, Simon Whitlock, Peter Wright etc. "Well Phil’s the one who’s got the darts on the map in the first place, if it wasn’t for Phil Taylor I don’t think any of us would be here today but I think there’s obviously a lot of characters in darts like Peter Wright, Gary Anderson, Michael (van Gerwen), Barney, myself. There’s loads, the Whitlocks, there’s loads of characters." We then spoke about the Aussie darting sensation Corey Cadby and 'Jackpot's thoughts on him: "I think Corey Cadby is a great lad, he’s got a big future as long as he keeps dedicated" Finally we asked more about his mentor Phil 'The Power' Taylor and the main things he has taught him over the years. "I’ve learnt how to prepare right for tournaments, to make sure to do the right things, practising obviously before I won the World title, I was never off the board and I think it comes down to dedication, no-one in any sport has had the dedication Phil has had."
