Rodriguez will now move through to face Cristo Reyes; with a tie against Rob Cross awaiting the winner of that one. It was a high scoring game with Rodriguez hitting four 180's and Evans three with the winner hitting a 91.08 average. Rodriguez claimed the first set in double quick time as expected between the pair but with all five legs going with throw it was the Austrian who took it. The game remained close in the second set with Evans though gaining the upper hand to get the set back pinning double eight. RJ-Rod though claimed the next set with three legs on the spin with him averaging 90 at this point with three 180's and 41% on the doubles. He continued his brilliance by breaking the throw of Evans in the first leg cleaning up 90. Evans though finally pounced on missed doubles pinning double four to break himself for 1-1. He then smashed in a quick fire 180 followed by a 124 checkout to go two-one up and one away from tying the match up. Rowby-John put the pressure on Evans and he buckled allowing him to hold throw and take it to a decider. The Austrian held his nerve though to send the in-form Kettering ace home in the first round. for more information about the
