The Second Round of the
European Championship concludes this evening in Hasselt and the Quarter-Final lineup for Sunday's action will be concluded.
The likes of Michael van Gerwen and Mensur Suljovic are already through but who will join them? The first game pits
Michael Smith who survived a spirited fightback from Nathan Aspinall and
Benito van de Pas who was under a similar scenario but he had to survive a last leg decider vs Vincent van der Voort and if both men are on it we could see the tournaments first last leg decider in the best of 19 format.
Rob Cross the shining light of
PDC Darts over the past 12 months continues his quest to show his prowess on a major stage and will have
Dave Chisnall standing in his way of doing just that. Rob whitewashed Martin Schindler who was a potential tricky customer while Chizzy smashed Cristo Reyes but Cross by virtue of his average and form is potentially the favourite but it is seen by many as a potential game of the day.
The resurgent
Stephen Bunting takes on
Daryl Gurney the recent World Grand Prix champion in a potential cracker and
Peter Wright ends off the afternoon session against
Jonny Clayton who is really in form at the minute and showed that in his first round victory smashing Dimitri van den Bergh in probably the performance of the day.
Second Round
7pm-11pm Michael Smith v Benito van de Pas
Rob Cross v Dave Chisnall
Stephen Bunting v Daryl Gurney
Peter Wright v Jonny Clayton
