Van Gerwen will be playing in the last Quarter-Final against
Keegan Brown who's return to form continues. 'Mighty Mike' though looked in ominous form this afternoon so still remains a sure fire bet to win the German Darts Grand Prix title at the end of the night.
Wright though looked in good form as well and will be facing another player who like him reached the Quarter-Finals with a whitewash and that is
Joe Cullen. Cullen looks like a good outsider for the title especially if he can get past 'Snakebite' which could be a huge task for the 'Rockstar'.
James Wade is also still involved. 'The Machine' is in the first semi-final and looked to be back to his best after a shaky win over Jelle Klaasen yesterday by beating Michael Smith for a second straight week.
He will not have the crowd on his side though as there is
Max Hopp standing in his way; 'The Maximiser' disposed of Mensur Suljovic as he takes step to rekindle his form and will be hoping to use the crowd to set up a semi-final.
Also
Rob Cross, the current World Champion will face the current World Grand Prix Champion,
Daryl Gurney in a repeat of their clash from the Premier League last week which Gurney claimed. 'Superchin' will hope to use that to his advantage but both men will know they potentially have
Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals should they come through that.
