Speaking to LiveDarts, he was also asked whether it had sunk in yet that he was through to the Last 16 and he said it hasn’t; but that also he hasn’t played like he truly can.
‘No not really, people seem to be missing a lot of darts against me. My luck has changed a lot over the past six months, I don’t feel like I haven’t played anyway near how I can; the way I’m practising I’m playing really well.’
Also on the money he called the amount that he has earned in the games up to now unreal and that it will massively help him with ambitions of the top 32.
‘That’s more important for the tour for me at the moment, I’m hopefully trying to push for the top 32 that’s where I’d like to be. But I mean the money is unreal, where else can you earn that kind of money. Some people don’t earn that (£35,000) in a year so that’s an unbelievable amount of money.’
He added more on this and said that it will massively take the pressure off in terms of qualifiers but that it is very hard to break into so he isn’t really getting carried away.
‘That’s where you want to be, that’s where everyone wants to be the top 32. They qualify for most TV tournaments, that takes a lot of pressure off. It’s very hard to break into the top 32, it seems like I’m having a good run at the right time.’
