Ryan Joyce claimed another big win as he saw off Alan Norris to be the first player through to the Last 16 of the PDC World Darts Championship.

‘Relentless’ has shown everybody just how good he is during the first few rounds at the Alexandra Palace and in his interview with Live Darts after the match, it was something he did not expect.
‘It sounds really good. I was not expecting to hear that when I came down to sort my first match.’ said Joyce.
On losing a set for the first time and coming back from that, he said that while it is a new emotion on the stage; he has been behind before and he added that if you are good enough you’ll win.
‘It is a new experience on the stage but I’ve played in a lot of PDC matches where I’ve behind even worse than that. You’ve just got to throw one dart at a time, if you are good enough you’ll win and if you’re not it’s your own fault.’
It was also said about him previously not getting out of the Last 64 in either BDO or PDC on TV and what has changed he listed a lot of reasons but admitted that playing on the Pro Tour is the biggest catalyst.
‘Mindset, belief, extra practice, working on the technique, trying to be more consistent all those things. Playing in the PDC Pro Tour for a full year really helps as well; the professional environment and the feeling of confidence it gives you knowing you are a PDC professional darts player.’
