Ross Smith and James Richardson are the first players through to Round Two at the European Darts Grand Prix after victories over Pero Ljubic and Matthew Edgar respectively.

Smith saw off Ljubic in a 6-3 win with a 92 average to continue his good form as of late with three 180's and 50 percent on his doubles.
The Deal ace will take on Jonny Clayton tomorrow in Round Two and if he plays similar to today he could give 'The Ferret' a real contest.
Richardson has been showing glimpses of a return to form after a torrid time of sorts recently and that continues with the Rushden ace winning an all Northamptonshire clash with 'Prime Time' Matthew Edgar.
'Ruthless' ended up winning 6-4 with a 96 average with five 180's and 50 percent on the doubles in a polished performance. He will face Mervyn King tomorrow.
