Mensur Suljovic has smashed Michael Smith to keep his playoff hopes alive for the Austrian who saw off an under par Bully Boy.

Suljovic won 7-2 in a match that many thought would be a close affair or even a draw but it is ‘The Gentle’ who emerged victorious.
This also keeps Raymond van Barneveld’s slim survival hopes alive as Smith edges further towards the drop zone.
Smith went into the lead early but was pegged back by Suljovic who went 2-1 up.
Despite the averages being quite close even when Suljovic started to gain momentum, he went 5-1 up putting Smith in real trouble.
The St Helens ace only claimed one more leg with the former Champions League winner hitting a 77 checkout to claim at least a point.
From there he tied up the win in what could be an important match for both players Premier League aspirations.
