‘Miracle’ averaged 90 and afterwards admitted it was her best darts she’s played this year.
‘For this tournament it was my best darts and I think also for this year it was my best darts that I’ve played.’
She hit a high of a 148 checkout but has her sights set on a bigger checkout next time.
‘It was of course my best checkout in the tournament but next time I want to go for the 170.’
On the impact the tournament win will have, she hopes it inspires more Japanese players to try their hand at qualification.
‘It would be awesome if because of this a lot of players start practicing more and playing more in order to come to the World Championship.’
