Robert Thornton has capped off what has been an excellent day so far which is not done yet by smashing in a perfect leg at Players Championship 16 which is the second of the weekend.
Thornton edged out Michael van Gerwen in a shock win but made sure that it wasn't just a flash in the pan by hitting a perfect leg. This included a 104 average from the former multiple major champion.
'The Thorn' has been the stand out today and will be one of the favourites to claim a first title in a while later on today if he can keep up his run.
