Van Barneveld has carried on from where he left off at the weekend where he reached his first ProTour final in some time and closed the gap on Michael Smith above him.
This performance also included a stunning 170 checkout from the Dutch legend.
Missed doubles were a theme at the beginning of the tie for Hopp. He missed the bull and double 20 for a 114 checkout in the early going which allowed RVB to go 2-1 up.
He was firmly in control but Hopp started to come back into proceedings only for RVB go blast in the 170.
He then took at least a point and then the victory in quick succession in what could be the turning point in his Premier League season.
