Van Barneveld spoke afterwards saying it’s starting to come together for him now and that his confidence is there ahead of facing Michael van Gerwen tomorrow.
“Maybe now we have seen the natural throw of
Raymond van Barneveld and you can see what I can do.
“I think in the last seven or eight legs I hit maybe five or six 180s. I’ve struggled with my set-up a little but it’s starting to come together now.
“I am pretty confident now and happy with the win against the world matchplay champion,” said the 51-year-old after his victory.
