Michael van Gerwen is feeling confident after his comeback victory against Rob Cross. Cross lead 4-2 against the world number 1 in there 3rd meeting in 3 events. Voltage even helped himself to a 170 check out on the way. However MvG reeled off 3 legs in a row to snatch victory from the PDC debutant.
Van Gerwen spoke to PDC.tv after the match and said the following. "It was a great game, both for us but also for the fans," said Van Gerwen. "He made me work hard but this is good for my confidence for the rest of the tournament."
Mighty Mike also acknowledged the reputation Cross is earning himself in his first season as a pro. "You know you have to play your best game against Rob and I was very close to that. The 170 was great from Rob but he missed two match darts and I took advantage of that."
Van Gerwen faces the already eliminated Joe Murnan this evening in the final group game. Victory would assure that he tops the group.
