Gary Anderson believes his game is getting back to the level that he expects of himself. The 2-time world champion has progressed from his group at the Grand Slam with a perfect record and now hopes to kick on at the business end of the tournament and Season.
The Grand Slam is just Gary's 30th tournament this year, in comparison world cup team mate Peter Wright has played 54.
But after defeating Simon Whitlock to keep his 100% record in the Grand Slam this year, Anderson had told
PDC.tv:
"I thought it was a bit of an iffy game but I'm glad to get through with three wins," said Anderson. "I've had a lot of time off but I'm getting back into it and starting to get my game back to where I want to be."
Anderson will now face apprentice Michael Smith in the Knock out stages. A big run here could set him up nicely for his assault on the World Championships in a few weeks time.
