Michael van Gerwen has put his World Grand Prix early exit nightmare behind him and is through to Round 2 of the European Championship. He is after a 4th defence of his crown in Hasselt and started it off with a 6-2 win over fellow countryman Jan Dekker with a 95 average.
Another Dutchman joined him in the Second Round and that was Jelle Klaasen, he whitewashed Christian Kist in an all dutch affair for the last two games who once again has had a reoccurance of his injury and struggled posting a 64 average in the process. A 92 average still got Klaasen over the line to end day 1.
