Whitlock punishes wasteful Richardson and Suljovic squeezes past Huybrechts

Simon Whitlock was the next man through, 'The Wizard' who in the last major reached the final dispatching Rushden's James Richardson who was wasteful on the doubles in a 6-3. Richardson missed 11 overall and will be thinking what could of been but Whitlock moves onto round 2.
Mensur Suljovic was the next through squeezing past Kim Huybrechts in a tense encounter. 'The Hurricane' hit Five 180's but it was Suljovic who got over the line despite missing three match darts in the two previous legs to join Whitlock, Norris, Price, White in Round 2.
