Wade saw off Darren Webster to reach a fourth Quarter-Final of the year on the
European Tour.
It was finely poised at 2-2 but ‘The Machine’ turned on the afterburners to come through.
Cross had a tougher test surviving a match dart and a 101 average from Max Hopp.
He hit two 180’s compared to ‘The Maximiser’s four with a high finish of 96 for the World Champion.
Despite that, ‘Voltage’ will see it as a good indicator of how his form needs to be to challenge Wade tonight.
