Simon Whitlock has reached the final at the German Darts Grand Prix after defeating Max Hopp 7-6 on his home soil in Munich.
The Australian fought back from a 6-4 deficit, as he hit a 83 finish and double to level the match in the 12th leg. Whitlock kicked off the decider with a superb 180 and took out 25 for the match after Hopp missed two match-darts.
Michael van Gerwen reached the final earlier this evening after demolishing Rob Cross 7-1. The Dutchman won this tournament the past two years.

- Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. - It is shocking and unbelievable that 2 Hotty who was always such a decent player, 2 time World Champion and won the Grand Slam when it meant something. He really should have joined the PDC earlier. I would like to see more players involved on a weekly basis similar to the Modus Super Series. A knockout tournament with 16 winners from each week.
