The first round is complete at the World Matchplay with Peter Wright the final player through with a routine 10-5 victory over Jelle Klaasen.

A 90 average with two 180’s gave Wright the win, but he will know that he has to step it up in round two Of the PDC Darts World Matchplay.
Along the way, ‘Snakebite’ hit a showpiece 170 checkout showing that despite him not being at his 100% best that he can still produce.
For Klaasen, it is further woes for the Cobra who in the last year or so hasn’t been at his best and he didn’t take advantage of holding onto his position in Blackpool last month.
Monday session schedule:
Kim Huybrechts (94.17) 13-12 (91.00) John Henderson
Simon Whitlock (88.2) 10-2 (80.4) Richard North
James Wade (89.6) 12-10 (87.63) Jermaine Wattimena
Peter Wright (89.28) 10-5 (84.36) Jelle Klaasen
