Gavin Carlin wins title in tenth week of play MODUS Super Series

The tenth week of play in the MODUS Super Series was won Saturday night by Gavin Carlin. In doing so, he captured a ticket to Champions Week.

Carlin won Group A thanks to victories over Thibault Tricole (4-1) and Lukas Wenig (4-3). Tricole was allowed to advance to the semifinals as number two due to his 4-2 victory over Wenig.

In the other pool, Josh Payne managed to win both of his duels after victories over Scott Baker (4-2) and Mike Warburton (4-3). Baker finished second by winning the match against Warburton.

In the first semifinal, Carlin was too strong for Baker (4-2), while Payne sidelined his French opponent Tricole (4-2). The final was then a 4-3 win for Carlin.

Format

Each week from Monday to Friday, twelve players will compete in multiple groups. The six best players advance to the final on Saturday.

In the thirteenth week of play, the twelve weekly winners battle it out to determine who becomes the MODUS Super Series champion and takes home the top prize of 20,000 pounds.
