MODUS Super Series launched as top players without a PDC Tour Card battle for a share of over £1million in prize money

The MODUS Super Series has been confirmed today (Thursday 1 September) in a new weekly darts tournament featuring top international players without PDC Tour Cards.

Succeeding the highly successful Online Darts Live League, it will also be hosted in Portsmouth and will see more than 30 hours of matches from Monday to Saturday every week launching on Saturday 3 September, 2022.

It will similar to its predecessor run at 09:30 and 22:00m GMT everyday with two sessions and with this being open to non PDC Tour Card holders and legends of the sport - it has seen a superb line-up confirmed including Martin Adams, Fallon Sherrock, Lisa Ashton, Jarred Cole, Neil Duff, Kevin Painter, Mikuru Suzuki and Thibault Tricole.

Each week, 12 players will battle in group matches on Monday to Friday with six qualifiers moving into Finals Night and after 13 weeks, Champions Week will be set. There will be over £1m of prize money and fees over the course of the year for the players.

Also it will attract a top roster of commentators and pundits who will host on an alternate basis in Paul Nicholson, Mark Webster, Chris Mason, Chris Murphy and Abigail Davies.

“Darts is a sport with global appeal and a hugely passionate following,” said Billy Lovell of MODUS Events and Management. “The addition of the MODUS Super Series to the calendar guarantees must-watch action as a far larger number of players will now feature regularly at the top level. They will also gain crucial experience in front of a TV and live audience, potentially earning prize money that could bridge the gap to going full-time pro."
