Jelle Klaasen crowned himself the weekly winner during the third week of play of the
MODUS Super Series in Portsmouth last weekend.
The best six players from the first five days of play met in two group on Saturday during the final day of the week of play.
Klaasen was in a group with Jack Main and Dom Taylor. All three managed to win once, but it was Klaasen and Main who advanced to the semi-finals on the basis of leg difference.
In the other group, Ryan Furness won his group matches against Andy Jenkins and Danny Lauby. The latter did win the encounter with Jenkins and completed the line-up for the last four.
Main triumphed 4-3 against Lauby in the first semi-final, while Klaasen proved too strong for Furness 4-2. In the final, Klaasen survived one matchdart against Main before striking in the decisive leg itself.
With the weekly title, 'The Cobra' earned a cheque for £5,000. In addition, Klaasen qualified for the more lucrative 13th week of play, in which the 12 weekly winners will face each other and compete for the top prize of £20,000.
