Dave Chisnall won the Baltic Sea Darts Open on Sunday night. 'Chizzy' thus earned the top prize of £30,000 and took first place on the PDC European Tour Order of Merit.
In the final of the Baltic Sea Darts Open, Chisnall was too strong for Luke Humphries. With this Euro Tour title, the fourth of his career, Chisnall is assured of taking part in the European Championship later this year.
For the likes of Rob Cross, Danny Noppert, Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall who lost their matches in the second round as seeded players. That means their prize money does not count towards the rankings. In order not to give the top-16 seeded players too big an advantage because of their bye in the first round, these players must win their first match for the prize money to count towards the various rankings.
At the end of the season, the 32 best players from the final rankings will compete in the European Championship in Dortmund. This tournament is scheduled from 26 to 29 October.
