Newton leads Group B in MODUS League after Day One

Wes Newton leads the second group in the MODUS Online Live League after the opening day with three wins from five matches on Thursday morning.

Newton leads on leg difference with three wins and two defeats ahead of Jarred Cole and Corrine Hammond who are on the same totals albeit with inferior leg difference.

While Fallon Sherrock is just behind with two wins and three defeats today level with both Joe Davis and Ben Hazel but again ahead on leg difference.

The players of this group will play matches against each other on Thursday and Friday afternoon. The numbers one and two of this group will then advance to Saturday's final group.

The evening sessions will see Jamie Kelling, Nathan Girvan, Jason Askew, Sean Fisher and Martin Adams playing a group against each other. Also in this group there are two spots available for Saturday. Richard North has already qualified for this final group by winning the first group this week.

Unlike the first edition of the Modus League in 2020, the game will not be played online via a webcam, but at a location in Southampton, England. The matches can be followed via the Online Darts YouTube channel.
