Martin Schindler and
Florian Hempel have reached the final of the PDC Europe Super League. Later on Thursday they will battle for a place in the upcoming PDC World Darts Championship.
Schindler defeated Max Hopp after a thriller. The two Germans kept each other in balance for a long time and a deciding leg was needed to decide the winner. Hopp was on double 12 after twelve darts in the last leg, but Schindler used the advantage of having the throw in the last leg and hit a 14-dart leg for the win.
The second semi-final seemed less exciting. Hempel took a 6-1 lead against Dragutin Horvat and had three chances to make it 7-1. However he missed all his three chances and that led to a comeback by Horvat. The latter came back to 7-7, but failed to keep the momentum. Hempel held his throw to take the lead again and claimed two more legs for a 10-7 victory.
