2021 World Cup of Darts set to be played in September

The 2021 World Cup of Darts will not have its usual May slot again this year with the tournament moved to September with a new venue also set.

Wales who won the title last year in a delayed tournament due to the Coronavirus pandemic will look to defend it at the Sparkassen-Arena in Jena, Germany which has previously held European Tour events.

Last year the World Team Championship was won by the Welsh duo Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton.

Last year saw Salzburg host the singles and doubles tournament but now on September 9-12, it will move to Germany with the likely hope that fans could be potentially allowed in at that point.
