Over the past week, the 29th edition of the World Matchplay was played. The annual summer tournament was won by Michael van Gerwen, who dealt with Gerwyn Price (18-14) in the final. The event was summarized in numbers by statistician Philipp Wolff.
A total of 31 matches were played. These matches resulted in 615 legs. Thirteen times the average was over a hundred, while the tournament average was 96.64.
A total of 404 171+ scores were thrown, of which no less than 367 was the maximum 180 score. The overall finish percentage was 40.38 percent, while 79 finishes of a hundred or more were thrown, with 170 being the highest.
