The quarter-finals have been completed at the 2024
Nordic Darts Masters with
Gerwyn Price,
Michael Smith,
Rob Cross and
Luke Humphries all keeping their hopes of
World Series of Darts success alive.
In first match of the night, Price faced off against Dimitri van den Bergh. Of late, the duo have had differing form and results with Price playing some top quality darts without much reward and van der Bergh a lot less consistent, but tasting major glory at the UK Open earlier in the year. In this one though, it was the Welshman who proved superior. Price raced into an early lead, taking the opening two legs in 14 and 17 darts. Van den Bergh then got himself on the board in leg 3, punishing a missed dart by Price with
a stunning 164 checkout. That proved to only be a fleeting moment of joy for the Belgian however, as Price powered to victory, reeling off the next four legs without reply to seal a 6-1 win, averaging 104.97 in the process.

LIVE SCORE!Next up, it was a battle of two practice partners as Michael Smith faced off with Nathan Aspinall. Aspinall had been very honest after his first round win that he was
battling injury once again, and as such, Smith was the favourite. On the board however, there were no signs of any weakness from the Asp due to his injury as the Englishman averaged 99.4 with two 180s. Sadly for Aspinall though, his proficiency on the outer ring was lacking and as such, Smith managed to repeatedly punish his good friend's misses and book his spot in the semi-finals with a 6-3 win. Notably, Smith averaged 9 points less than Aspinall in the tie with his level of 90.43.
Smith edged past Aspinall 6-3 to reach the semis in Copenhagen
After his US Darts Masters title win last time out on the World Series of Darts, Rob Cross has been oozing confidence of late. That was evident here yet again as the Englishman very impressively ended the hopes of Stephen Bunting with a 6-2 win. Voltage averaged over 102 in the contest to Bunting's 100 and with 6 of his 10 darts at double being successful, the former PDC World Champion looks like he will be tough to stop as he aims for back to back titles on the World Series of Darts.
In the semifinals, Cross will take on the current world champion and world number one, Luke Humphries. The recent Premier League Darts runner-up faced off against the conqueror of Peter Wright, Johan Engstrom. In truth though, the difference in quality was clear as the Englishman eased to a comfortable 6-1 win, hitting five 180s, averaging just over 98 and checking out at 40 percent.
