Danny Noppert made it through to the semi-finals at the 2022
UK Open in Minehead with ease as 'The Heat' couldn't handle 'The Freeze' with a 10-5 victory for the Dutchman.
Heta had impressed on Saturday with victories over Michael van Gerwen and Jonny Clayton, but played below par against Noppert with a revival at the end too little too late.
It was a relatively poor start from both but it was Noppert who was leading narrowly 3-2 at the break.
He started to fire up after the break breaking throw with a 120 checkout to go 5-2 up.
At the next interval, Noppert extended his lead to 8-2 with a 91 checkout as Heta continued to not handle 'The Freeze'.
He finally got another leg on the board and had a potential lifeline as Noppert missed match darts and he pinned 107 to make it 9-5 as he broke throw as he looked for a last gasp comeback.
But this was eroded as Heta couldn't pin 126 on the bull with Noppert leaving 52 from 141 for the win.
