Danny Noppert took down Alan Soutar to reach the final day of the Austrian Darts Open but to say it was easy is a lie as he admitted post match that he is majorly struggling with stomach issues.

Noppert speaking to DartsNews said that he nearly had to withdraw from the tournament as he has been struggling and sat on the toilet throughout the last couple of days and has been struck down with a nasty stomach bug
But while that is the case he has seen off Alan Soutar tonight who missed match darts in a brutal last leg decider against the Scotsman in more ways than one as Noppert no doubt just wanted to get off stage. He faces off against Cristo Reyes tomorrow who hit a nine-dart finish earlier today at the Austrian Darts Open. “What can I say? It’s been a battle the last couple of days. I’ve had such a bad stomach. I don’t know why. A lot of problems on the toilet and less sleep," said Noppert to DartsNews.
“There wasn’t a performance here tonight as well, but I’m happy that I won and I’m still fighting. Maybe a little bit better than yesterday. Yesterday I thought, ‘I can’t play today,’ but I’m still waiting for the moment where I feel good again. Of course, I’m always looking forward to Sunday. Now it’s time for rest. In the beginning it was terrible. My stomach was spinning around. After three or four legs, I felt a little bit better, but now as well, I still don’t feel well.”
He also had issues earlier in the year and hit a nine-dart finish and said that he has been eating eggs and bananas to try and feel sane again. “No, I feel unwell and I win as well! Yes, of course, I’m having eggs and bananas to try and improve again. I don’t know why, but sometimes my stomach just doesn’t go my way.”"

Danny Noppert has spent the last few days on the toilet.
But he will also hope to continue the Dutch dominant run as Wessel Nijman was also mentioned post match as to what he has been doing for Dutch darts in particular with his fifth ProTour title of the year earlier this week. Noppert had some kind words and hopes to join him after losing in the latter stages earlier in the week.
“Unbelievable. For him, it’s like a local tournament or something. He wins it easy and he plays so well. Hopefully I will find that range as well in the future, but when it happens, I don’t know. So far, not really, but like last week, one semi-final on the ProTour — it’s okay, but I will fight.”
