Afternoon session at European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen abruptly ends due to fire alarm evacuation

Those eagle eyed viewers watching PDC TV will note that they were showing a repeat of Leon Weber v Ryan Joyce at the European Darts Grand Prix instead of the slated programming of Daniel Klose v Jermaine Wattimena. It has now been confirmed why.

The Glaspalast in Sindelfingen was evacuated due to a fire alarm on Friday afternoon as the venue was evacuated before the match between Wattimena and Klose started. Play was temporarily suspended.

But the session was ended from there on as due to the venue's safety procedures, the afternoon session was subsequently ended. Likely to find out more information as to why it went off in the first place.

But now the fans in the Evening Session which starts at 19:00 local time will get an extra game as the session will commence with Wattimena v Klose instead of Searle v Zonneveld which will take place afterwards.
