All time matches played at PDC World Darts Championship: Taylor and Lewis lead standings

Ahead of PDC World Darts Championship, we take a look at statistics involving the most matches played in the history of the showpiece event.
As expected, Phil Taylor leads the way with 121 ahead of Adrian Lewis who is the top remaining player involved with 57.
Then it is Raymond van Barneveld (55), Michael van Gerwen (52), James Wade and Dennis Priestley (50) with only of course 'The Machine' not winning the World Championship out of those involved.
Other World Champions on the list include John Part (45), Peter Wright (35) and Steve Beaton (31).

They know how to manage schedules etc so the players can just play. And how is Edgar wrong? Last year MVG failed to qualify by missing too many tournaments and underperforming.
