"Amsterdam is nicer" - Vincent van der Voort calls for Dutch leg of Premier League Darts to change venue

Last Thursday, the Premier League Darts travelled to the Netherlands, or nore specifically Rotterdam. According to Vincent van der Voort however, it should be a different Dutch city that's used as a venue.

Van der Voort was a guest on Viaplay as an analyst last Thursday. The 48-year-old Dutchman saw Nathan Aspinall take the weekly title by defeating Michael Smith in the final. Every year a Premier League night takes place in the Rotterdam venue Ahoy. "But that's the wrong city huh," Van der Voort laughs. "Amsterdam is nicer."

Van der Voort also already has an idea where that event should take place. "Just do the Johan Cruyff Arena, that would be totally awesome. I got to play an exhibition there before, that's the greatest thing there is." The Premier League Darts continues next Thursday. Then the thirteenth day of play will take place at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool. Michael van Gerwen will meet Peter Wright there in the quarterfinals.
