VIDEO: Dutch fans demand Emma Paton and jovially boo whenever Mark Webster & Wayne Mardle appear on screen

Sky Sports presenter Emma Paton seemingly struck quite a chord with the crowd in attendance last Thursday night as the Premier League Darts' visited the Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

The Dutch fans in Rotterdam, many of whom were dressed in orange, shared their frustration by booing loudly every time Paton was no longer on screen or when she left the stage, with Sky Sports colleagues Mark Webster and Wayne Mardle booed whenever they came on screen instead.

When Paton was seen again on the big screen in the arena, it led to great delight among the Dutch audience. Mardle responded on X to the comical interaction with the fans in attendance. ''The audience want to see more of Emma Paton apparently…and less of Webby and I,'' he wrote with a laughing emoji, clearing taking the abuse from the Dutch crowd in good humour.
