Andersen set to miss Players Championship debut after testing positive for COVID-19

Vladimir Andersen will not compete in the first two Players Championship tournaments of the season in Barnsley this weekend.

Andersen last month became the first Danish darter ever to secure a PDC Tour Card through Q-School. That was barely a month after a two-year suspension ended, which he had received for misconduct at local tournaments in Denmark.

Last weekend he was in action at tournaments on the PDCNB Tour. After a successful weekend including a title. he tested positive for COVID-19, he reported to Dartnyheder.dk.

As a result, he had to withdraw from the upcoming Pro Tour weekend. Perhaps Andersen will be able to participate in the Players Championship tournaments on February 13 and 14.
