Gary Anderson started his US Darts Masters defence on his return to the stage for singles action but was pushed all the way by qualifier, Elliot Milk.

Anderson spoke afterwards and admitted some nerves crept in due to his lack of playing time.
He added that his opponent played well so he’s pleased to get through it.
"It's been a while since I played so I'm relieved to get through," said the two-time World Champion.
"It was a bit nervy and there were some good darts and some terrible darts.
"Elliot played well and he was up for
it, so I'm glad to scrape through."
Next up for ‘The Flying Scotsman’ is Gerwyn Price in a repeat of their controversial Grand Slam final.
He admitted that he has to play better when he takes him on and that he has a big day to come.
"Gerwyn's playing well so I need to score better than I did today."
"I'm a bit rusty but I've got to work through it because it's a big day on Friday."
