Kyle Anderson claimed a deciding leg win over Arron Monk in the opening round at the International Darts Open in Riesa.
It was a tie that met all expectations between the pair as one of the standout ties of the first day of action and he was glad to meet that hype.
He added that he is getting his confidence back and so he is looking forward to facing off against Gerwyn Price later on Saturday.
"I'm glad the match could live up to the expectation, but I'm just very happy to secure the win and find some form again." said Anderson, who will face reigning champion Gerwyn Price in the next round.
"I'm getting that confidence back and I know that when I'm confident, I play well, so I'm looking forward to the game against Gerwyn tomorrow."
