Gary Anderson was in good spirits with the press Saturday night after his victory over Dave Chisnall in the first round of the World Matchplay in Blackpool. 'The Flying Scotsman' even tried to poke a journalist for a remarkable bet.

"'If I win the World Matchplay, you all have to run about the stage in a pair of yellow thongs" said Anderson during the press conference.
Josh Green of YouTube channel Tungsten Tales however, had no appetite for the bet. "No, that's not a deal Gary." The Scot regretted that: "Now you've spoiled it for me! A wee side bet."
He then called to Dan Dawson to do it. He replied saying: "I'm going to do it anyway whether you win it or not."
Anderson continued: "Don't bother buying me a car or anything like that, I'd rather see you run about in a kilt or something like that. But it's just little things, people say you're done, you're past it. I try to push it a bit more."
Incidentally, it has been a while since Anderson won a television tournament. His last major title was the Champions League of Darts in 2018. That same year, the two-time world champion also won the UK Open and World Matchplay.
