Gary Anderson has qualified for the second round of the World Matchplay. 'The Flying Scotsman' defeated 12th seed Dave Chisnall 10-6 in the opening round.
A lot was expected of this match beforehand, however it somewhat underwhelmed. "That definitely wasn't a classic," Anderson said. "The scoring game wasn't there. It was scrappy. I'm a big fan of Chizzy, he's a classy player and he should have a hell of a lot of TV titles to his name."
Anderson, however, is in good spirits this year. "I like a wind up you know. People call me this, call me that. A few mates have said 'that's you Gary, you're done,'" he says.
"There's no pressure on me whatsoever and if I can just turn up and play some good darts like how I used to play, I'll be over the moon."
