Gary Anderson is the last player through to the Last 16 at the 2021
Grand Slam of Darts after seeing off Raymond van Barneveld in a highly anticipated clash between the legendary pair.
But after early breaks aplenty, Anderson surged through 5-2 with a 103.8 average to continue his flawless record of winning through his group every year the tournament has been played.
A 134 left Anderson in a superb opening leg on 69 which he pinned on double 20 for an early break. But Van Barneveld was straight back on double nine to tie it up at 1-1.
An 81 checkout for a 12-dart leg at 2-1 up saw Anderson head into the lead again.
A 140 left 80 for Anderson with Van Barneveld needing a magical 132 to break back but despite pinning the bull, he couldn't get a chance and Anderson returned for the first hold of the match.
Van Barneveld hit back with a 92 checkout to make it 3-2 and hold. A double nine shot saw Anderson hold for 4-2.
Anderson had a shot at 121 to win but slipped into double 11 only for Van Barneveld not to get a shot at 104 and he returned for double three.
