Gary Anderson starts his Premier League Darts campaign on Monday evening in a repeat of the World final against Gerwyn Price before a tie against Michael van Gerwen.
But for Anderson, he is looking forward to returning to action in the blocks of nights instead of constantly being on the road and said he has put the practice in.
"It's going to be a bit different. It's usually every Wednesday on the road, play Thursday then onto the next travel but I think this will be good," said Anderson.
"I've had Ryan Searle over the last few days practicing so we've been putting a good three and a half hours of practice. It's getting there, it's definitely more better than what is bad now."
"Every game is going to be tough now, every year it gets harder and harder. Gezzy (Price) first game and I'm sure it's Michael (van Gerwen) second game so chucked in at the deep end I think."
Also touched upon was the next Super Series in Germany and Anderson was not a fan of having to travel to Germany at all at the moment.
"It could do as long as they're in this country. I think it's mad to be honest, I keep my tabs on the news and to be across in Europe playing darts now, no for me. It's a ProTour, it should be in this country. They've got the European Tour, keep that to that side, keep the ProTours over here."
This could also affect his World Cup participation later this year but for Anderson, it remains open for him to go if all is safe.
"Depends if it's all open. If we're all allowed to travel and it's 100% safe then yeah I will be playing. Europe is a mess so it's the last place I want to be going to play darts."
