Anderson makes possible return to European Tour after years of absence

Gary Anderson has not shown his face on the PDC European Tour for years, but he may make his return to continental Europe this year.

The Scot is slowly sinking on the PDC Order of Merit, which makes him want to return to the European Tour tournaments in 2023. However, Anderson is also no longer in the top-16 of the Pro Tour Order of Merit, which does require 'The Flying Scotsman' to play qualifying tournaments first.

Anderson has therefore entered the Tour Card Holders Qualifier for the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich. The qualifying tournament will take place on Monday February 20 in Barnsley. The tournament in Germany will be held from 8 to 10 April.

The two-time world champion played his last European Tour event in 2016. The last time Anderson competed in a qualifying tournament at all was in 2009, then for the Las Vegas Desert Classic.
