Gary Anderson has finished the latest block of
Premier League Darts action with a stunning win over
Dimitri van den Bergh.
It is back-to-back wins for Anderson after seeing off Peter Wright last night and he did it with a 107 average, six 180's and 80% on the doubles to revive his play-off hopes.
Van den Bergh started the tie well with a 180 and a 72 checkout for the opening leg against Anderson but 'The Flying Scotsman' began to motor with back-to-back 180's followed by an 11-darter for 1-1.
His average went up to 105 as he hit a 64 finish to make it 2-2 and this was followed up by a 123 checkout for a 3-2 lead after Van den Bergh had missed the bull.
He followed that up with a 146 checkout for a 4-2 lead with Van den Bergh averaging 109 but not getting a foot in the tie.
Anderson made it 6-2 with a break and a hold as he motored towards the finishing line and it was a minimum of a point as he made it 7-2.
Van den Bergh offered late resistance in the form of a 132 checkout on the bull to break and trail 7-3. But Anderson secured the superb win with a 92 checkout using single 20 and two double 18's at 7-4.
