Billed as a battle between darting titans with both two-time World Champions, it was Gary Anderson that prevailed against Adrian Lewis in a business like display from 'The Flying Scotsman' who was victorious in a 3-1 sets win.

He won 9/10 legs after going a set down averaging 93.74, hitting three 180's, a high checkout of 116 and 46% on the doubles and he will now face Ian White or Chris Landman.

Anderson missed 102 for an early break and Lewis pinned double 10 to lead.

The former missed three to hold but Lewis missed two to break allowing Anderson a chance to level.

Lewis was averaging only 80 and Anderson pinned 116 to break and go towards winning the opening set.

'Jackpot' replied with a 96 checkout and he was suddenly throwing for the set. He kicked off with his first 180 to begin his throw before pinning double 20 to lead 1-0 in sets.

Anderson began the second set with a hold of throw. He missed the bull for a 167 with Lewis well back. 'Jackpot' pressured with a 180 but Anderson was back for double eight to break and go 2-0 up.

A comprehensive set win saw Anderson hit double five to make it 1-1. Lewis missed bull for a 130 and was made to pay as Anderson broke to go 1-0 up. But a poor leg from Anderson saw Lewis break straight back.

Again Lewis was royally punished as he didn't go two double 20's on 137 and Anderson took out 85.

Lewis returned with a 180 but a poor leg otherwise saw Anderson pin 92 with two double 18's to go one set away from the win.

Anderson continued a superb spell as he went one away from the win with a pivotal break. Lewis missed an 85 checkout to break back but Anderson couldn't make a dent in 111.

A throw that summed up his night saw Lewis miss a golden opportunity to keep himself in the tie and Anderson sealed the deal.
