Anderson survives Larsson scare, Van den Bergh superb in whitewash win as Nordic Darts Masters begins

The Nordic Darts Masters has begun with two victories for the PDC representatives in Copenhagen as Dimitri van den Bergh and Gary Anderson have moved into the Quarter-Finals.

Van den Bergh was first up on his return to the World Series in a venue where he will feel he should have reached at least the final last year after losing in a comeback win to Fallon Sherrock and he showed some form.

He stormed past Danish qualifier Benjamin Drue Reus with a 98.5 average and four 180's in a 6-0 whitewash win and he was joined by 'The Flying Scotsman' who had a contrasting route through.

In facing Daniel Larsson, the Swede showed some good form on the European Tour recently and has qualified for further tournaments just this past weekend but in a game of missed doubles, Anderson survived a scare.

Larsson went 5-3 up but Anderson frustrated at his efforts roared back into the contest in a 6-5 win despite only averaging 87.8 and his missed doubles count sitting at 15.
