Anderson survives three match darts to book semi-final spot alongside Heta, Scutt and Michael Smith at Players Championship 13

The semi-finals of Players Championship 13 in Hildesheim are set with Michael Smith set to take on Connor Scutt and Gary Anderson facing Damon Heta.
In the last eight, the Flying Scotsman, Gary Anderson survived three missed match darts from Chris Dobey to prevail in a nail-biting 6-5 thriller. Michael Smith also had to work for his victory, coming from behind to see off Danny Lauby Jr to seal his spot in the last four (6-4).
In the other two quarter-finals, Damon Heta was a 6-4 winner over Gerwyn Price with the Australian seemingly coming into form at just the right time, with a World Cup of Darts defence alongside Simon Whitlock on the horizon.
Finally, Christian Perez's fairy-tale run in his first Pro Tour event since winning a tour card at Q-school was brought to an end by Connor Scutt who himself is enjoying a better-than-expected day, prevailing in the quarter-final 6-2.

- It seems odd that at the World Championship they have dancing ladies in hot pants and pom poms and yet the walk on ladies who were much more elegantly attired get removed from the scene. I met Daniella at Silverstone when she was a grid girl in the F1 race and was very pleasant indeed.
