Michael Smith faces Gary Anderson in the final of Players Championship 13

Michael Smith will face Gary Anderson in the final of Players Championship 13 after the pair successfully prevailed in semi-final encounters with Connor Scutt and Damon Heta respectively.

Smith ended the impressive run of Scutt, who had beaten the likes of Ross Smith and Mike de Decker on his way to the last four. However, the reigning world champion proved a test too far, triumphing 7-3.
Anderson reached his third ranking final of the season after a 7-3 victory over Damon Heta. The latter had knocked out Gerwyn Price a round earlier.
