Lisa Ashton qualified for the PDC World Darts Championship last year through the Women’s Series which is set for its return in the rest of 2021.
Offering up a 12 event tour, there will once again be World Championship spots available as well as Grand Slam of Darts places with Niedernhausen, Milton Keynes and Barnsley hosting the tournaments starting in August.
‘The Lancashire Rose’, the first female player to win through Q-School and the only female Tour Card holder was excited by the prospect of the tournaments return and breaking more new ground.
“This is fantastic news for women’s darts,” said Ashton.
“Playing in the Women’s Series last year it was fantastic to see so many top players competing, especially with matches streamed on PDCTV.
“The women’s game continues to move in the right direction, and by once again offering places in two of the PDC’s biggest televised events we as players have the chance to keep breaking new ground.”
