PDC Women's Series set to return with expanded 12 event tour to take place in 2021

The PDC Women's Series is set to return during 2021 with 12 events confirmed across Europe from August to October.
Places in the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship like last year will be on the line for the top two players based on prize money occrued over the 12 tournaments.
While two spots in the 2021 Grand Slam of Darts set to take place in November will also be confirmed from this system from the final two weekends with the most prize money from Events 5-8 counting for one and 9-12 for the second place.
Events 1-4 sees the Women's Series visit Germany for the first time with Niedernhausen, a usual venue for ProTour and Challenge Tour taking in the first action between August 28-29.
Events 5-8 will be played at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes between September 25-26, while it will then conclude with Events 9-12 at Barnsley Metrodome between October 23-24.
£60,000 in prize money will be on offer over the 12 events, while the final two weekends are set to be broadcast on PDCTV.
Last year saw Lisa Ashton and Deta Hedman, two of the leading names in ladies darts take to the Alexandra Palace stage in a hotly contested conclusion to the initial events, with Fallon Sherrock just missing out on a return to the Palace.

Why is Fallon sherrock in this picture? Lisa Ashton should be the poster girl/lady for women's darts. she battled through Q school and has been playing the men for nearly two seasons and has picked up some solid scalps along the way. sherrock had a decent run and won a couple of matches against guys who were sh!tting themselves about losing. her triple figure finishing was very unusual and she's done nothing since. Lisa Ashton should be the one featured on every women's darts feature.
She (Sherrock) is younger, blonde and thinner so the PDC are following a well worn path of acting like typical blokes.

- Likewise, I have always been a fan of Mervyn and with this worry on his mind, it explains why his form and ranking plummeted. It is really sad to hear this, often chatted to Mervyn and Tracey during the Lakeside days, both are lovely people. It does seem naive not acknowledging the fact it was earnings, surely there must be others in the same situation. - What’s with the dogs element to this story, trying to pull at the heart strings? Just goes to show that being a good dart player does not equate to being that bright. Seriously, ‘I thought you didn’t have to pay tax on winnings’ , your a pro dart player and its your line of work, your not playing the lottery or placing a bet. I think it was Phil Taylor who said you should put a third to one side of all winnings into a bank account, obviously Merv was wearing his earplugs at the time.Mysstree10-03-2025
- The thing is... the folks who "humiliated" Taylor in the Seniors Events never really achieved anything in the important events - like Taylor did. Taylor had/has nothing to prove... and beating Taylor after he had retired is of zero value. Taylor in his prime would have made easy work of all of them. Cheers.MrYnyslas197107-03-2025
